The Backyard Golf Association (BGA) is the recognized governing body for backyard golf courses of all shapes and sizes, as well as the governing body for tournaments held at those courses.
Courses must meet membership eligibility requirements and register appropriately using the form linked to this website
Sharing of best practices is a benefit and expected through participation in the website

Requirements
- Course must have at least 9 holes
- There must be an official scorecard
- There must be listed yardages
- Tees and pins must be marked
- No restrictions on balls used (can be wiffle, foam, etc.)
- Only pars of 3, 4, 5 are allowed for holes
- Reference from another BGA member
